It is, in fact, also the reason why a new art movement has been sparked, using the bonnet of the Porsche 911 as an unconventional canvas of sorts. The "Colección Goméz" features a wide range of South American artists transforming the bonnets of the Porsche 911 into something even more spectacular, using a wide range of materials, ranging from enamel, acrylic, even tire rubber.

The "Colección Goméz" was started by Gómez, an art lover and fan of Porsche, and his unique collection is on display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany from sup>th, 2011 until January 8^th, 2012. Artists featured in the collection include South American greats like Pablo Atchugarry, Rogelio Polesello, and Jorge Ferreyra Basso. Some of the bonnets are simple and compliment the paintjobs you'd typically find on the 911, while others contrast them starkly with their vivid color and wild imagery.

What's more impressive than the bonnets themselves is the fact that Gómez actually takes them out onto the road for a test drive himself every now and then, placing them on his own 911 GT2. And, with so many to choose from, he'll always have the most talked about 911 on the road!
