Mercedes-Benz Celebrates the Automobile's 125th Birthday in Style

It's hard imagine that the automobile is 125 years old, but it's true. This is a milestone that Mercedes-Benz wouldn't let go unnoticed either, as the German automaker vowed to invest a total of $125,000 to be donated to five different charities.
This is the kind of celebration that everyone here at Knopf automotive can really get behind. The contest was officially named the "Community Stars" social media challenge, and in it, Merccedes-Benz invited non-profit and community-service organizations to upload sixty-second explanatory videos that detail why they deserve to be honored with an investment of $25,000. Submissions were accepted from September of 2011 through October 21st, and on November 8th, 2011 the winners were announced.
So who took home the cash? The Alabama Institute for the Deaf & Blind; Camp Okizu of Novato, California; Children's Museum of Richmond, Virginia; V.A.C.C. Camp in Miami, Florida; and Sleepyhead Beds of Kansas City, MO. Each of these causes represents some of the most kind and generous work done for their respective communities, and Mercedes-Benz was proud to honor their hard work.
And, just like how our favorite German automaker is dedicated to giving back to the community while crafting some of the finest autos in the world, everyone here at 3401 Lehigh St Allentown, PA 18103 is dedicated to helping drivers find the new or used luxury/exotic car of their dreams.
